Ambaji Temple
The renowned temple of Ambaji is situated in the state of Gujarat and Banaskantha district. This temple boasts of powerful cosmic presence (Shakti peeth). Ambaji is the wife of Lord Shiva and is the Adi Shakti Maa (mother goddess).
Ambaji is the ultimate female power with unlimited powers. The temple paints a picturesque view amidst the Aravali Hills. The climate is pleasant throughout the year.
Ambaji Temple of Gujarat:
The most unique and magnificent feature of this temple is that it has no idol. A yantra, carved on a marble is dressed up with red chunri and all the accessories used by a suhagin (married woman).
The full moon days (Purnima) in the Hindu months of Kartik, Chaitra and Bhadrapad are the auspicious and special days of the Ambaji Temple. A huge crowd of devotees visit the temple for live darshan of the goddess.
Live darshan Maa’s early morning Aarti at 6:00 am daily is the best and the luckiest way to begin the day.
The darshan timings of The Ambaji Temple are 7:00 am to 10:45 am, 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm and in the evening 7:30 pm to 9:15 pm. The darshan timings can vary by 30 – 40 minutes due to the change of season. All the information about the darshan timings is available online.
The Nij Mandir of Maa Ambaji has its unique and exclusive features. The goddess is worshipped in different kinds of forms of a woman in different hours of the day.
In the early morning hour Ambaji gives darshan as a Kumarika (virgin). In the noon hours the devotees enjoy the darshan of Maa in the form of a young woman and in the evening hours Ambaji gives darshan to all her devotees in the form of an old lady. The shringar (decoration) of Ambaji is executed daily in the same cycle.
